Broadly, a Malayali is an inhabitant of small, beautiful state of India called "Kerala(m)", who speaks a very strange language
called "malayalam", eats food prepared using coconut oil, typically, wears a Mundu(dhothi) or Lungi.

Some facts
Malayalam, a nine-letter palindrome, is the name of our language. Malayalam actually comes from two words: Malaya, which means "mountain", and alum, which means "land". Therefore, Malayalam means Land of the mountains, which is true enough, considering that the Western Ghats lie to Kerala's east.
Like Tamil,(the language from which malayalam is believed to be evolved) Malayalam is another class of Dravidian language,though it contains a lot of Sankskrit words.
Kerala is the first state in India to attain a literacy level of 100%.The life standard in Kerala is believed to be above the average Indian state's life standards.
Unlike other parts of India, this state is devoid of all communal problems. But the dirty Politics has lead the state to the verge of chaos.
